Abstract: A battle fought for long on both the streets and the courtroom has finally achieved what it set out to do - decriminalise homosexuality. what does it actually mean and how does the life of the queer citizen change? What are the new struggles that will come up and how does one chart a way forward?
Bio: Pramada Menon is a queer feminist working on issues of women's rights, gender and sexuality. She is a performance artist and has traveled with her show Fat, Feminist and Fiftyish, previously Fat, Feminist and Free, to many cities. She has been active in the queer movement in India.
