Applications are invited on plain paper for the following post in a DBT-sponsored project, “The role of Eri1 (ER-resident Ras inhibitor 1) in controlling filamentation of C. albicans".

Essential Qualification-: Candidate should have an M.Sc. degree in any branch of Life Sciences with a good academic record and research experience in in molecular biological methods used in the study of yeast/ fungal biology. Candidates without wet lab experience in handling yeast/ fungal cultures and who do not meet these essential qualifications will not be considered. The candidate should necessarily have qualified the GATE/ CSIR-UGC NET-LS/JRF or equivalent exam.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates with laboratory experience of at least 1 year in techniques such as cloning, extraction of RNA and DNA, RT-PCR, and enzyme assays in addition to the above mentioned essential qualifications would be preferred.
Salary: Rs. 37,000 + 27% HRA per month OR as per DBT norms.
Nature and tenure of the position: The position is purely temporary in nature and subject to availability of funds. The position will terminate with the completion of the project (3 years approx.). However, if the fellow’s progress is unsatisfactory, he/she may be terminated from the project anytime.
