Abstract: While global health involves multiple players, often with varying agenda, vast majority of the health budget comes from the countries and out of pocket. Global health related decisions are often taken by the 195 Member States of the World Health Organization at the World Health Assembly. It includes global health strategies, policies, and the broader strategic focus for the Organization and its Member States.

Anand is a public health and evaluation professional with more than 30 years of experience and track record of success spanning local, national and global levels. He has extensive experience in program development, management, partnership building, technical assistance, policy and advocacy work on various health and development issues. Anand is a Senior Evaluation Officer with the Evaluation Office of WHO in Geneva, he has PhD in Public Health from the University of Bedfordshire.
