Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following positions on purely
temporary basis out of the DBT-BUILDER project in the School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
Post No. 1: Project Assistant (one post)
Consolidated Emoluments : 21000/- plus 24% HRA as per rules.
Age limit:- 35 years
Job Description: The selected candidate will be expected to perform all assigned tasks including preparation and coordination of work reports, progress reports, participate in purchase of items as per latest GFR 2017/JNU rules, processing of bills, record keeping etc.
Essential Qualification:Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent with at least 55% marks.
Desirable qualification: At least one-year experience in computer applications such as Microsoft Office word/excel. Candidate having prior experience in day to day general administrative and financial management related work in any research laboratories/institutions will be given preference. ‘Experience certificate’ from a previous employer is required in support of the work experience.

Post No. 2: Project Assistant (one post)

Job Description: The selected candidate will be expected to perform all assigned tasks including handling of scientific equipments, participate in organizing laboratory training programmes, preparation and coordination of work reports, participate in purchase of items as per latest GFR 2017/JNU rules, processing of bills, record keeping etc.
Essential Qualification: Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of life sciences with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates must be proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and preparation of reports etc. Candidates must have hands-on experience of operating any scientific equipment/s of high value available in life sciences laboratories. ‘Experience certificate’ from a previous employer is required in support of the work experience.

Post No. 3: Project Associate (one post)
Consolidated Emoluments: 31000 p.m. plus 24% HRA as per rules
Age limit: Preferably 40 years
Job Description: The selected candidate will be expected to perform all assigned tasks primarily for operating scientific equipments including FACS/Confocal microscopy/ Fluorescence microscopy, participate in organizing laboratory training programmes. The candidate will also be expected to participate in preparation and coordination of work reports, participate in purchase of items as per latest GFR 2017/JNU rules, processing of bills, record keeping etc.
Essential Qualification: Candidates having M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences/Allied disciplines from a recognized university or equivalent with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates must have hands-on experience of operating any scientific
equipment/s of high value available in life sciences laboratories, preferably FACS/Confocal
microscopy/Fluorescence microscopy.Candidates having training in Cell Biology/Molecular Biology techniques will be preferred. ‘Experience certificate’ from a previous employer is required in support of the work experience.

General terms of advertisement and appointment for all posts:

the suitability for the project, and only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is
earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate's
performance and discretion of the Competent Authority for the duration of the project.
