ON
INDIA AND CENTRAL ASIA : HISTORICAL, CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC CONNECTIVITY
30 - 31 JANUARY 2023
India and Central Asia were having longstanding historical, cultural, political and economic relations. History of India and Central Asia are indebted as well as accredited to each other. Various sites in both regions are found which indicate clear transactions even in pre-historic periods. In Central Asia, Excavation of Tak-Mak region of Kyrgyzstan, Amu Darya Valley in Southern Uzbekistan, North-East of Samarkand in Uzbekistan, many places in Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, provides ample evidence of India -Central Asian links from ancient times. One of the focus areas of Indian foreign policy in the last few years has been the revitalization of our historical ties with the Central Asian countries, which is a part of our “extended neighbourhood” policy. In the light of present development, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS), New Delhi are going to organise the Third HHRS International Conference on “India and Central Asia: Historical, Cultural and Economic Connectivity”, 30 - 31 January 2023 at Convention Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru University , New Delhi- 110067
