WEBINAR NOTICE
In order to provide the highest level of services to scientific community a series of workshop/webinar/training programs on different sophisticated instruments in biological / chemical/ physical sciences are organized by AIRF throughout the year. In this series, the next webinar will be on “Advanced Image Analysis with NIS Elements” to be held on 28th January, 2020. The webinar shall be online and will have lectures and demonstration by application specialist.
Outline: The program shall include one day lecture. Participants shall get instant logins by which they shall get connected to lecture. The lecture will introduce quantitative image analysis to new image specialists utilizing Nikon’s NIS Elements platform. It will include a brief overview of some fundamental concepts of digital image analysis such as representation of image as an array of numbers, LUTs, bit depth, discussion of commonly used filters in image processing pipelines. Additionally the speaker will demonstrate workflows from pre-processing, segmentation to quantitative analysis of acquired data.
How to Apply: Application forms are available here. Applications are invited from registered research students/scholars from an Academic Institution. The webinar is open to all research students and scholars. Total number of participants will be 50 and it will be “first-come, first-serve” basis. Decisions of the screening committee shall be final and only selected candidates will be allowed to participate in the workshop. All participants who have attended training session successfully will get e-certificate.
