“Latest Trends in Teaching and Research in French and Francophone Studies”
Teaching and research in French and Francophone Studies have undergone a great change in the new millenium. Globalisation, new concepts and theories in Translation Studies, Didactics of Language and Culture, Culture Studies, and interdisciplinarity are some of the key factors that have ushered the change. Technology plays a significant role in society and the classroom and thus has a major impact on the methodologies as well as the corpus of study. Socio-cultural transformations across the world have also impacted on language, literature, and culture studies. Hence, it is important to take stock of contemporary research: what are the new sites of inquiry, what are the methods, and what are the theories that have engaged us in teaching and research on French and Francophone Studies?
Some of the areas the seminar will focus on are: Didactics of Language and Culture, French and Francophone Literature, Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, Culture Studies, and Media Studies.
Abstracts of approximately 200 words in French should reach the Coordinators before 5th December 2020.
