Theme of the Congress: Intellectual History and Changing Realities: Indian in 21st Century
It is in this context, the Northern Regional Centre, New Delhi in collaboration with Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur proposes a 2½ days conference with the above theme and the following sub themes:
Proposed Sub-Themes for the Congress
- Ancient Indian Concepts and Contemporary Global Views
- Understanding Indian Society: The Literary Lens.
- Indian Political and Economic Thought in Global Context
- Indian Philosophy from Adi Shakaracharya to Swami Vivekananda
- Intellectual Tradition among Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste
- Locational Analysis and Cultural Identities in India
- Sustaining Indian Culture: The Role of Diaspora
- Relevance of Social Science, Social value and Education
Participation of scholars from the Northern Region—National Capital Territory Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan is solicited. Only selected papers will be presented at the Congress. Paper presenters will be paid 3AC train fare if they are not able to mobilize funds from their parent institution. All participants would be provided local hospitality.
