Death and birth is tempo of our life cycle. Death can be decoded as a herald of life, it revitalizes, dis/integrates the social system. Death is deeply embedded with our social, cultural and ritual practices. In the wake of digital technology particularly the convergence medium, death is a much more celebrated event, a communicative process as well a performative act. Death in our recent time is a vibrant mediated and shared social realty in the digital space. The mediation and representation of death event in the digital platform have altered the way in which we see and perceive death. In this context, the present paper tries to understand two-death occurrences; one is of film star Sridevi and the other is Café Coffee Day owner V. D.Siddharth as a mediated event.
